With all of the high-tech electronics that have been incorporated into your C5 Corvette, not to mention additional aftermarket electronics and stereo systems, it can take a toll on the factory charging systems ability to keep up. Especially if, over time, connections have become corroded.  Installing a BIG 3 upgrade can be very beneficial as many on the Corvette forum will tell you.

There is NO cutting or removing the factory charging system wiring.
The Big 3 cables run from the Alternator directly to the under hood Fuse box where all the engines electrical Relays and Fuses are and also directly to the Battery positive.  Combined with your factory system it more than doubles the amperage capacity. And because your Positive wires are only as good as your Ground, the kit comes with two ground cables, one that goes from the Battery to the Frame and one that goes from the Frame to the Engine.

 It is made from all high quality materials and designed so it will not look like an aftermarket universal kit. For safety it has a 100 amp heavy duty fuse, uses USA Made Flexible 4 gauge wire. (not the type car stereo shops use) The positive wires have a High-Strength Slit Corrugated Sleeving just like the factory wiring over them for additional protection and a factory look. All connections are hydraulically crimped and come with all the hardware needed to do the installation. The installation takes about thirty minutes with simple hand tools.
